Mr. Vu currently serves as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Desert Hot Springs and the City of Rancho Mirage and Deputy Counsel for several of the firm’s public agency clients. Prior to joining Q&A in 2017, Mr. Vu started his law career with Mr. Quintanilla’s former law firm of Green, de Bortnowsky & Quintanilla. As the newest member of Q&A, Mr. Vu adds his legal expertise to the firm’s growing code enforcement and civil litigation practice. Mr. Vu possesses a sophisticated knowledge of all matters involving code enforcement, including without limitation, representing cities at administrative hearings, attending court proceedings, obtaining inspection and abatement warrants, ensuring due process is provided to property owners, and securing court orders for abatement cost recovery. Mr. Vu also has developed skillful experience with initiating and administering receivership programs for cities.
Mr. Vu is currently a member of the State Bar of California and the Desert Bar Association. Mr. Vu is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California. Mr. Vu attended Pepperdine University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2012. While in law school, Mr. Vu clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, where he assisted in the prosecution of felony cases and conducted preliminary hearings. Subsequently, Mr. Vu clerked for the California Attorney General’s Office, where he focused on civil litigation in the areas of employment law and constitutional law.
