Mr. Quintanilla is the President of the Firm which he created in 2014, after spending nearly 20 years with the former law firm of Green, de Bortnowsky & Quintanilla. Mr. Quintanilla was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1992 and since then he has practiced exclusively in the area of municipal law and its related fields, including land use, planning, real estate, environmental compliance, affordable housing, public works projects, mobilehome parks, rent control, labor, employment, municipal solid waste, records management, code enforcement, tax measures, elections, conflicts of interest, ethics, the Ralph M. Brown Act and the Public Records Act. .
Robert J. Lee joined the Law Offices of Quintanilla & Associates after working over five years at the law firm of Green, de Bortnowsky & Quintanilla, LLP, serving as Deputy City Attorney for the cities of Rancho Mirage, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City and Victorville. Joseph A. Meeks was admitted to the State Bar of California in December, 2011, after he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (http://www.lls.edu/)where he graduated as a recipient of the Sayre Macneil Scholarship and as a member of the Saint Thomas More Law Honor Society. While in law school, Mr. Meeks served as Judicial Extern to the Hon. Peter H. Carroll of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, and later, for the Hon. Oswald Parada of the United States District Court, Central District of California.
Colin Kirkpatrick joined the Law Office of Quintanilla & Associates in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Colin worked as a legal intern for the California Department of Justice where he researched and wrote legal briefs. He also was formerly employed as a legal intern for KK Properties, a private real estate development firm, where he assisted with matters pertaining to land use and subdivision planning and development.
Ms. Mizrahi currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Desert Hot Springs, Deputy City Attorney for the City of Rancho Mirage and Deputy Counsel for several of the firm’s public agency clients. She also currently serves as Planning Commission counsel for the cities of Desert Hot Springs and Rancho Mirage.
Mr. Vu currently serves as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Desert Hot Springs and the City of Rancho Mirage and Deputy Counsel for several of the firm’s public agency clients. Prior to joining Q&A in 2017, Mr. Vu started his law career with Mr. Quintanilla’s former law firm of Green, de Bortnowsky & Quintanilla. As the newest member of Q&A, Mr. Vu adds his legal expertise to the firm’s growing code enforcement and civil litigation practice.
Michael is the Office Administrator for the firm. As Office Administrator, Michael manages the firm’s calendar for client meetings, court appearances, conferences and social events. Michael is also the firm’s liaison for the various non-profits the firm represents and support and he never hesitates to lend a helping hand to various non-profit organizations. Originally from Michigan, Michael moved to California in 1992 and then relocated to the Coachella Valley in 1996. Michael has worked with Mr. Quintanilla since 2002.
Monica has worked as Mr. Quintanilla’s Legal Assistant since 1998. During her tenure as Mr. Quintanilla’s assistant, Monica has raised four wonderful sons, one of which proudly serves in the Navy as a Corpsman stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Despite her busy schedule, Monica donates a lot of her personal time to helping those in need in the community and has also served on Council and was the Outreach Coordinator for Kairos Outside of the Desert ministry.
